When he opens his eyes then his son was standing in front of him and smiling towards his father. A goat was there in place of his son.

Basically, Allah almighty replaced his son with that goat because he wants to sacrifice his son, and Allah wants only that loyalty with him. This Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim A.S is reminded every year till the world ends. This is the promise of Allah Almighty that this sacrifice will be remembered till the world ends. We must also develop in ourselves the values of loyalty and sacrifice for the sake of Allah.
